I really need to find some books that will help me learn the essentials for web design. I am a web design major and I don't have a solid background in the programming field. I feel that this will help me get a job when I graduate next spring.
What are some good books that will teach me HTML and web design?
I think the Wrox book is a good choice - it has gotten good reviews.

Reply:I really like the series of Head First books by Freeman %26amp; Freeman. There is a Head First HTML (and CSS) book that came out recently that has been a huge help for me. It's directed towards people who learn visually, as most designers do :).
