What is the best way to learn flash web design?

Are there any useful sites that teach you how to use, design, and make flash web sites

What is the best way to learn flash web design?
There is a tutorial and some very useful links at:

For absolute beginners, I would very much recommend the book Flash Right from the Start by FR Heathcote, published by Payne Gallway.

ISBN: 1-904467-39-3
Reply:Depends on the experience you have in web design?

If you understand the web design, HTML etc, then i say just open flash, click around and make stuff, follow tutorials for flash menus etc. its how i learnt
Reply:The built in tutorials and "How to..." lessons are quite good, but you'll need to buy it (Flash) first.
Reply:to tell the truth i was the same about a year ago i brought Macromedia flash and did not have one lesson and just played with it for about 6 mouths and now i can create animations, flash websites! and much more cool designs. It takes a long time but it is my fav software. if you are looking to build just a flash website i would not use flash as it can be complex so try moonfruit.com they build free advanced flash websites. in the next year i am hopping to create a flash tutorial website! so sorry ii wont be done yet. good luck.
Reply:i found the book flash design for dummies really helpful but if you already have an idea on how to flash design then a more advanced book may be needed your local libary or WH smith or water stones should have all you need
Reply:http://www.echoecho.com/flash.htm

...is that any help?
Reply:i find the best approach is by doing, and what you can't do or are struggling with, someone has already done it.

i find these are the best links for helping me out when in a sticky situation.

(also, you'd be surprised how useful the help is inside flash, normally has the majority of your answers licked...)
Reply:Flash books are terrible and boring.

I recommend www.cartoonsmart.com, they have the best tutorials!
